Midday Advisory
Midday Advisory is a special way to start your day at King Philip. In a small group setting, students engage in opening exercises including a salute to the flag, a moment of silence, and the reading of the daily bulletin. Students should listen carefully to the announcements because it’s the best way to stay informed of what’s happening at school. Midday Advisory is also a time for learning and sharing with special activities designed to focus on character, emotional intelligence, effective learning habits, general well-being, and special celebrations.
Learning Lab
Learning lab is a time for students to get caught up with school work, study for upcoming tests and quizzes or get extra help. Students may also use the time for reading or a visit to the library with teacher permission. Choir, band, orchestra and QuEST replace learning lab for students who participate in those programs.
