The Student Council is having a toy drive for the kids at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center from now until the end of October. We will be collecting toys in the library. In addition, please make sure that the toys are appropriate for the kids. _____________________________________________________________________________Student Council proudly presents: Homecoming 2018! This year’s Homecoming Dance will be Saturday November 17th, THAT’S RIGHT….THE NIGHT OF THE CONARD/HALL GAME! Homecoming will be at Town Hall from 7-10pm, doors close at 7:45 with no re-entry allowed. TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE! You can purchase tickets during lunch or from Ms. Casey in the library. Tickets are $25 each, non-refundable and for Conard students only. We have a limited number of tickets, so don’t wait!
Attention All Conard Students! The Jewish Student Union has its first meeting of the year next week, Thursday, October 25th in room 160! The mission of the Jewish Student Union is to help teens explore and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Jewish people, as well as getting Jewish public school kids to do something Jewish! REMEMBER YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE JEWISH TO COME! See you there!
Come on down and audition for the Ten Minute Play Festival. Lots of parts and lots of fun! If you have always wanted to try out acting, this is your chance. Auditions will be held today at 2:30pm in the Black Box Theatre. Auditions are open to anyone in the school!
Do you want to feel more comfortable at college interviews, job interviews, or class presentations? Come improve your public speaking skills at the Public Speaking Club. The next meeting is Tomorrow October 23rd in room 214.
The Future Educators of Diversity would like to cordially invite you to their first, annual FEOD College Mixer Fair! This is an awesome joint opportunity for Conard and Hall families of color to participate in a very interactive evening with top universities, colleges, and community colleges from across the state. Participants will be treated to mini workshops, informative presentations and helpful conversations with WHPS Department Supervisors. We hope to educate, enlighten, and empower participants to strive for excellence after high school by providing information, strategies, and a network of college contacts willing to helps families transition to a very pivotal chapter in their children's lives. So on October 23, 2018 from 6pm-8pm, let's meet, eat, and treat ourselves to a night of information sharing and networking.
